So Zain was crying for 3G prices to be reduced so that they start this childish behavior? They were crying for a level playing field to to this? Where is CCK? I think the Kenya government is to blame for entertaining uncompetitive companies that seek sympathy instead of working hard to win masses. Im sure with such antics, Kenyans will notice and stay loyal to the trusted party. Zain has had sooo many Tariffs people no longer know what tariff they are subscribing to. And they just remove you from a tariff e.g. Club 20 or inundate you with smses as if you need junk sms. The ones in the emails are a nightmare, in my sms box? That's extreme. I was going to load my Zain line and use it substantially but from these antics, these people are out to cause a stir in the marketplace and leave us high and dry like the pyramid schemes. Kenyans beware, you might go into buyer remorse. /.0721586109// /.0733911199// On Mon, Aug 23, 2010 at 4:37 PM, Brian Munyao Longwe <blongwe@gmail.com>wrote:

This fight is overrated. I think after referendum we needed a new story.
Zain might have shot themselves in the foot. Because if safaricom drops prices, what will they do next? They would probably have made more money without such drastic cutting of prices. I predict Zain might have to innovate services around its international network to survive otherwise they might keep the kenyan operation running at a loss for a while.
Safaricom shareholders who are short term speculators will lose out (after buying at Ksh 2.10 im still waaay in the positive for a long time to come) And nothing stops safaricom from going into IPTV services as well.
