Wash,
I am on the GoTV platform the product of DSTV and Multichoice(KBC)
GoTV have something for everyone in the house, You (Sony Max, Discovery World, Al Jazeera) Wife (E!, TSN) Kids (Disney Junior(3-7years) KidsCo(7-12years) Nickolodeon(12-17years)) even your househelp has a healthy helping of africa magic
I currently only have one qualm about GoTV, they had promised to offer a second package, this is almost 10 months down the line and nothing is forthcoming. In Uganda and Nigeria they have two packages. And in Uganda since inception of the product.
GoTV has also aggressively advertised though I am no longer ardent media reader/viewer, they even lowered prices 2 months before wind of Star Times got to the common mwananchi.
The GoTV STB is on DVB-T2 which is something you have to be very careful when purchasing an STB, though I know you will not be on Luthuli Ave looking for one.
Mainly the advantage of Digital TV on DVB-T for me is the prospect of content on a cheaper platform than DVB-S, but I wonder if GoTV will offer a competing product to themselves.
My take on this is that if you are already paying for satellite from DSTV then you prolly will not require this, unless Startimes comes with content not available on DSTV.
*PS. I am not in anyway marketing for the products mentioned.*

As we progress into the Digital TV space, I am wondering which model/unit is the best (featureful) that I can get in the market.
The only company I see advertising aggressively is STARTIMES<http://www.startimes.co.ke>which are suggesting I buy their Chingchong DVB-T2.
I'd like advise from people who have trodden this path, the early adopters like @DavidKiania, on whicd device they recommend - available in the mkt.
I am curious about this Digital TV signal thing - my TV signal is already to clear that I wonder what difference the DVB-T2 would make in my life, bar for the govt's plan to switch of the Analogue signal.
Besides content (I am okay with the Kenyan TV cahnnels, btw) can I just buy an STB only? I don't think I want to pay anyone for any content so far. I am looking for a "device", not content. What I need is recommendations on the device, unless it must come with content (as in, tied to a provider), in which case I will shelve this until it is a MUST:)
