The day Telcos and ISPs realise that every time the govt gives away a data project through pretense of ppp and traffic in not kept in the kenyan ip infrastruce, is the day when they will know why there has been no growth of the industry. I hope one day they understand and will shut down kenyan communications for a protest day each time traffic is stolen away from them. Have no doubt that in an emerging market such as cloud services, govt is the biggest driver of what can be done. There is no need to build huge fiber capacities and have the pipes lying idle, it serves no one.
Teclos and ISPs are not to blame for the current stagnation, it is the current econonmic policies being practised in our tech sectors. I support you 100% as a network technologist that we are very very much capable of not only building world class networks but also deliver on such.
