My understanding is that the aim is to have reps of innovators and real techies not the usual sort of board with big business types. If one has good demonstrable experience in mobile innovation whatever sector and has the ability to have a balanced business view then indeed they should be nominated. After all the idea is to help Safaricom open up to innovation even further.
@Alkags, thank you very much for responding and information provided. It'll help those who are interested. @Solomon. Let me share a view with you. You, me and some others see the bigger picture and understand the importance of representation. But things cannot work like that because we sometimes forget that we are a collection of various skills and minds. Many come to this list to socialize, explore, discuss, make contact with new listers, maybe make some new business, sometimes have a rant or two, even attend functions, get free tech support. The list is endless. Beyond that everyone is on their own, are members elsewhere or on the net. For many Skunksworks KE is a tech social past time and possibly a conduit to other things if and when the need arises, the sooner we embrace this ( those of us with other ideas ) the more we understand our limitations. This is the same in other lists too, not just here. There is nothing wrong with such and no one should take this negatively. Its actually a very positive thing because its more like an avenue of no commitments, no pressure or anything else, people already face this during the day at work etc. This my friend Solomon is the gene that needed to be cracked to be understood, those that came before us looking for change or organization or a community could not decipher and ended up frustrated at efforts of doing so. Lets give this thread a rest and let people do their thing. I'm a nuetral person and not interested in any nominations but I do know who gets mine. :-) -- Rgds, "Skunkworks-KE is a social tech platform "
