Your issue has least likely to do with your mail server but this "when the server is set to B it cannot ping outside (out of local LAN). and it cannot be accessed.". This is the setup in my opinion. AK's MXs receive emails for you domain (possibly filters spam and viruses) and does a smart relay to your server. If your server is not reachable therefore, emails destined to your domain will most likely queue on their servers until that time when you can be reached or the configured queue duration expires and email bounce back to the sender.
