Benard, Okie. Actually what I really like talking about it Photography and Farming.I have worked on a number of design issues for DVB-T and I work for a Telco vendor and hence LTE exposure. Unfortunately I double booked my calendar and may not be avail kesho, the event will proceed as planned in form of a discussion. There are excellent resources from Safaricom and other network vendors like NSN plus government policy. Enjoy Kiania D On Fri, Dec 16, 2011 at 1:46 PM, Bernard Owuor <b_owuor@yahoo.com> wrote:
Slightly off the agenda, but I think David Kiania is the guy to ask about DVB issues, ain't it?

Hey guys: If you have ever wondered what LTE is, how it works, what's the difference with wimax and other compteting broadband technologies, what components are involved etc, then show up at the IHUB on saturday the 17th at 9:30 am. We'll have one presentation followed by Q&A and an open discussion.
If you have questions, start streaming them through this thread just so everyone can prepare for an engaging debate. While LTE is the main theme, we'll be collecting ideas on what to discuss next.
LTE is qute a grey area for me and it would be nice if we can get someone from each of the main vendors to give different viewpoints. So if you have experience with Huawei and NSN please show up to increase the number of 'clueful' people.
We also have a plan to get someone (the unconfirmed speaker above) to give us a general overview of the frequency allocation plans why there's a delay, why does it get too political? what do the network nerds need to know.
See you there!
