4D is basically a 3D movie with additional physical effects in the theater like sprinkle of water drops on the viewers, sudden changes in temperature, vibrating seats, or even moving seats, screen on the floor, roof and side walls. These physical effects are normally in sync with the movie and bring a new level of realism.
