[Skunkworks] Alternative power source for laptop in remote area

Am doing an implementation in a couple of remote areas in kenya.well not quite remote but area with unreliable power. The service requires the operator to be mobile and hence carries a laptop to the field. What are the best ideas for alternative power as the machine has to be on fulltime during working hours?
