I have also been experiencing good speeds, i guess it depends with the number of Users in a particular area covered by the BTS, congrats Safcom guys they are trying their best, have been number one compaliner but their response has been fantastic, Kudos to those Safcom Engineers on Skunkworks
I actually have recorded speeds of upto 2-3Mbps but this is was like from 1amOn Thu, Apr 9, 2009 at 12:39 AM, Njoroge Tito <titonjoroge@gmail.com> wrote:
_______________________________________________Earlier tonight, when viewing a high definition myspace.com video, i realised it was buffering extremely fast... and looking at the speeds i was getting, they were off this world.. an average of 1.7Mbps all through.
Possibilities:
- myspace.com is hosted locally
- very few subs on safcon - but at 9pm, am sure we were many..
- they have given video priority..
- they were testing the seacom fiber
Unfortunately, couldnt do ping / tracert / other tests at that time, and now am back to super slow speeds...
Is this the start of the sub-marine era for us? If this is a sign of things to come .. bring it on!
