@okechukwu, whats the default language you would expect for instance google.cn to be in? and even going by the official and national languages, both English and Swahili are recognized as the official languages of Kenya. Which means we are bound to accept it if it comes from either direction, none is more preferrable based purely on that context. I think someone had also raised the following scenario a few days ago: imagine a tourist who has just arrived and wants to use google, they will immediately be faced with a language they cannot understand, all their search results will be in kiswahili...
So I think Google should put a "Change language" link somewhere...
And then another thing, Kiswahili is also spoken differently all over Kenya, very few speak kiswahili sanifu...
I think most of you remember the viral "Marijuana, makapendana, makaoana" which is still kiswahili with a kikuyu touch.

Even before, it existed and you had to choose it if you wanted to, but what actually made them change this?
