I'm trying to make some log files accessible to someone on my web server. I have made the folder containing the files the home directory, so when he accesses the server's IP via HTTP he can get a directory listing of the files contained therein. But upon clicking on a single file in the listing, the web server sends a 404 error page, rather than display the file contents or prompt for download.
In a nutshell, the directory listing displays but the files in the directory remain inaccessible. I have given browse, read (and even execute) permissions on the folder in IIS to the IUSR anon web user but still nothing seems to be happening. I'm running the version that comes with Windows 2003 Server.
