Finally, the big guys spilled the beans.Since it will be linux based, i think their main work will be on that layer, that specific layer of the linux os,the graphical layer.If they are to compete with windows 7, mac os X, they will definitely need some great visuals and stability.Since it has the linux kernel, hardware compatibily should not be a problem.It would be good to have a direct competiton to m$ for the first time<br>

Call me a pessimist, but I still think Chome OS will go the same way as other Open Source OS - mostly used by the tech savvy type.<br>An ordinary user will still ask if they can install M$ Office in it, besides all the other apps that are written for M$ Windows. <br>
