That's a good idea. However, it denies personal attention that every student needs. Notice that when classrooms grew to more than 50 children under free education, the quality of education went down. There's a reason why classrooms should carry a maximum of 35 - 40 students, because that's as much as a single teacher is able to handle. A TV is a dumb terminal. A PC can have some teaching functions automated and the student followed a little closer, but can't replace a teacher. Just a wild thought,
Instead of Jubilee laptops/tablets, wouldnt a TV in each classroom be better tool, and then teach students centrally from studio, with the resident teachers acting as assistants. That may ensure that teaching is also standardized and equal in quality especially in all public school. _______________________________________________ skunkworks mailing list skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke ------------ List info, subscribe/unsubscribe http://lists.my.co.ke/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/skunkworks ------------
