McD, I assume the point is to petition the regulator on content and timing of the show. This is not necessarily a legal issue. The reason why a regulator for censorship is set up is precisely to steer through such issues. We do not have to talk legal every time a right or moral issue crops up. This is how we never move on such agenda. My point is that the petition should be brought to the attention of the concerned board and action or direction demanded of them! The best way would be to make complaints to the Media Council of Kenya.

Back in the day, KBC would air programmes that were then considered immoral well after 10:30 p.m And this included any programme kissing, pecking or even a hug was part of the script. Remember when programes like 'Tahamaki', 'Tushauriane' and the likes were aired? Situations where anything that was 'unAfrican' was not aired. Relate this to Alfred Mutua's 'Cobra Squad'. The reason as to why it's a challenge to control the airwaves is the liberalization in almost all spheres. In a free economy state like Kenya's, it's quit hard to reign in on errant traders, unfortunately. But to restore hope: a) Sign the petition b) Let's wait for Alex Gakuru's Board to tell us what they've so far done.
BTW, I've heard people complain about the Soko Ugali advert. See how people can deviate thir minds geatly?

Solomon
