I think most people in Kenya are not aware of the Digital TV transition, and I know most households in rural areas do not have television sets. I would love to know the statistics of how many households in rural and urban areas have television sets. I hope the data from the census will give us these statistics.<div>
<br></div><div>But I think what we lack is content, we may have digital TV but nothing to transmit with it. And it seems since the days of Cobra Squad nothing has been coming out of the local scene lately. We need to develop content, because content is king. In developed countries, the broadcasting companies like BBC, NBC, CBS fund and produce most content they show on their channels. I don&#39;t see why KBC or the other broadcasters can not do the same. With more content, you get more viewership, and view-ship means advertising. You also don&#39;t have to pay fees to broadcast foreign content.</div>
