Process Maker

Hi guys, Had asked earlier about a WPS and someone had suggested Processmaker. I need their assistance once again or anyone proficient in deciphering web error codes. In the process of installing the app on a Debian machine and following the instructions provided here http://wiki.processmaker.com/index.php/2.0/ProcessMaker_Debian_Installation I have gone all the way to the point of now accessing the app from the web-browser. Its at this point where if I try accessing the app using * http://192.168.10.102:8010/* I get a *403 Forbidden: **You don't have permission to access / on this server*. error. If i do * http://localhost:8010/* I get *404 *Not Found: *The requested URL / was not found on this server. *error. The install directory is /opt and the sub directories (/opt/processmaker) are owned by *www-data* with *0751* permissions as indicated in the install link earlier. Below is my pmos.conf file. If i change the DocumentRoot to /www/var it works fine as it brings the default apache index page saying IT WORKS!! Mapping Lost and found items with ushahidi.

I was thinking of using ushahidi to create a map that enables good Samaritans to map lost and found Items like valuable things and passports e.t.c. The map could also help the ministry of immigration deal with the headache of lost ID's. Instead of reprinting IDs they could just search for it among the lost IDs that will be crowd sourced. I want to know what you guys think. I know some guys had that idea in the IPO48 event although it never got off the ground. Thanks in advance.

I have been pitching my latest idea to people, and the question I get asked the most is "what if Safaricom do the same thing?" What is with this fear of Safaricom all the time from developers and investors? Kwani what have Safaricom done to be so feared? Their successes outside their core voice & SMS business are countable on one hand!

Sheng is too dynamic! the sheng spoken in various places in Nairobi is different and changes every so often not to mention the sheng spoken in Naks or Kisumu. some sheng is actually words in reverse (*kwachua *for example). No sane country can use Pidgin English as a written language for formal communication - why should we use our Pidgin Swahili? any person who is able to speak fluent Swahili should be very proud of it. Generic PHP form saving functions

Good people, I seek to write a generic, reusable set of functions that, given a GET/POST array, a table name and a few other instructions, can retrieve data from a form and save it in one or more tables. Anyone know of anything similar which I can build upon? If there is one thing I find totally boring, its processing form data. Oh yeah, ideas on how to do this are also welcome, below are my initial ideas: ---- Parameters to be received by function: 1. Associative array with name of form element and corresponding name of table column 2. Name of table, to be used to construct the INSERT statement 3. A flag to instruct the function to return the last_insert_id() for those cases where you need it for the next save To be returned by the function 1. The last_insert_id() if specified 2. A boolean value indicating if the saving was successful or not Anything else I am missing?

Forward this to your friend: First the good news 1. Theres a place that says we value your feedback... thats nice, am giving it, but why is the text area so tiny. It gives the impression you are discouraging feedback. Assuming I want to rant and do it in about 1500 words.... that little box is gonna piss me off evn further. Get a bigger form! 2. The search form on the menu bar is black on black... its totally invisible. I did not test if it actually works 3. Stop using title tags on your menu links. They are more annoying than helpful. Besides you ain't getting any bonus points from Google from using them. 4. The drop down on your menu need work. why does it linger on when you Mouseout? It is definitely a major obstruction on your pages 5. Under the menu dropdown bottom right, it says Customer Feedback Survey. Nobody voluntarily likes to take a surey unless there are freebies attached to it. If there are no freebies then you better make that an In-your-face feature and let the user opt-out. Otherwise I can guarantee you that link will never be clicked in-turn making it garbage especially with the fact that there is no survey going on. 6. Theres a section on the homepage that says "Keep Check for Upcoming Events", okay.. "No current events. Click to go Back"... Go back where? to google? or the refereing site?.. Why add "Read more" where there are cleary no events? 7. Only show links with active information eg in situations 5 and 6 above 8. Put a margin around the thumbnails on your homepage and other pages The bad news 9. In your shopping cart you've got me to the point of placing an order, So why is there a link taking me away from that goal and telling me to ask a question abou this product.... Hellooooo am on the Internet, you do not want to loose me, I may never come back... The worst thing some products have no info at all, try putting product information first then if I am not satisfied I will ask 10. In the cart I am being asked to agree to terms of service... unfortunately there are no terms of service configured on this website 11. What are the policies on user information. You seem to be collecting user information right? 12. Why does an e-commerce site operate with unsecure pages? Get a SSL cert. 13. Why does this site email me my open username and password in clear readable text in the same email address? This tells me that chances are my password is also being saved in plain text. Woe to me and the billion other Dorman users if this database is hacked. 14. Why does the checkout page have a title that reads "The Sarit Center"????? Was this website copy pasted from Sarit Center's website? I dont even want to know 15. Why am I being told the minimum number of packets I can buy for Dormans Supreme Instant Coffee is 864 and you give me the option to type in 1. shouldnt you fix that in your form?... Then again arent you putting me in Shit with customs when I have to explain why am trying to bring in 864 pkts of instant coffee from Kenya without a license? 16. The registration form needs validation. I put in an out of state zip code and it went through... there goes my order of $8000 worth of coffee to an unknown location 17 Dont you think users should know which payment methods they can use? I went through the whole order process only to be slapped with a Purchase order as the only means of payment???? I have to admit. Interesting Times The avalanche of mass-lawsuits in the United States that target BitTorrent users has reached a new milestone. Since last year, more than 200,000 people have been sued for allegedly sharing copyrighted material online, and this number continues to expand at a rapid pace. Added up, the potential profit from the so-called pay-up-or-else scheme runs into the hundreds of millions of dollars. Mass file-sharing lawsuits have been filed all across the United States in recent months, almost exclusively targeting BitTorrent users. Copyright holders have embraced this new revenue stream by the dozen and new lawsuits are being filed every week. The United States judicial system is currently being overloaded with new cases, and a few days ago the number of targeted Internet subscribers in federal courts broke the 200,000 barrier. Through these mass lawsuits the copyright holders are trying to obtain the personal details of (mostly) BitTorrent users who allegedly shared their material online. I want to buy a wireless router but I have seen some people mention ""wireless router with built in AP" and others say just "wireless router". I want to connect to the internet at least 40 computers in a building with 6 floors and thick walls. So, please friends, explain to me in simple kindergarten english or kiswahili or kikuyu or kimeru...what is the difference between an AP (Access Point) and Wireless Router? Timo.

The problem is i can't configure/operate these APs through the console/aux port.The question is, can these APs work alone, i.e without Cisco wireless LAN controller? And how? Good people, I have a small question: suppose I have a string with native PHP or user defined functions names separated with a known separator, e.g. $myString = "strip_tags|trim|myFunction"; And I want to apply each function name to some other data e.g. $cleanData = strip_tags(trim(myFunction($dirtyData))); How would I go about it? It has been done in CodeIgniter form validation library but for the life of me I can't see how to reverse engineer it.

Worse still, this is the *recommended setting*. Google+ does this *differently*. As you create your profile, you set up who can see what as you go. This gets users involved with privacy settings right from the start, which I think is *a much better approach*. Photo Privacy Some people don't like being *tagged*, meaning their Facebook experience revolves around quickly responding to notification emails, jumping in and un-tagging themselves from images. Google+ by default lets people in your Circles tag you in images, but you can change this so your *approval is required* for tagging. Approval for tagging is an excellent feature that stops any embarrassing/unwanted photos taking you by surprise! Conclusion Facebook's privacy options have changed a lot over the years, and have certainly improved. However, they still *need tighter default settings*. There are still many users who may not be tech-savvy enough to realize how much they share publicly on Facebook. Google+, with its Circles feature, makes controlling who sees what very easy. Privacy settings are also more flexible, and your *images are much easier to control*. Do you have tools on your LAN that can monitor traffic type and source at the gateway? This would help to un-earth the problem. I am in a building along Moi Avenue, the landlord is very slow and shallow...I only bear with him because the place is cheap... ...anyway, I wanted to have fiber pulled into the building so that I can sambaza it to other tenants and make some $... ...I know there is fiber nearby because I saw some digging going on several months ago. Someone at on of the local providers told me that I dont even have to talk to the landlord so as to have fiber vurutwad (i.e. pulled in) into the building... Zuku: My customer care horror story I shifted offices to the Muthaiga area in July and after asking guys around, I was advice o go for Zuku by a knowledgeable friend working with a Fibre Optic Cable company. I had heard roumours that they have bad support, but I am the person who has faith until proven otherwise. I was told that there were no cables to come and be used in my office (which I found weird) and after alot for pleading, one person assisted and the equipment was installed. I hadnï¿½t been told about a router and I went and looked for cash and paid for them together. I forgave all the previous hurts of waiting and opened another leafï¿½.didnï¿½t know my trouble starts HERE (Tuesday last week) The cashier at Loita Street only told me ï¿½we donï¿½t have Routers hereï¿½ when she had finished keying in my chequeï¿½despite having explained how I have had over 20 days internet less. She told me to talk to the lady at Reception (Loita) , who happily told me that rather than I wait , I can go to westlands Apic Centre and pick up an already configured Modem to go to the office and plug and Play. That was a better option that waits to pick on Thursday the same week. I arrive at Apic and am told ï¿½.sorryï¿½. No routers here and I Plead ( despite that it ainï¿½t a favour)..and that lady was so helpful. She questioned the receptionist at Loita why she sent me without inquiring and the receptionist never replied. She went out of her way and called Mombasa road and asked them to please give me a router. I left westlands for Mombasa road and they took 2 hours to get router and configureï¿½I was promised. Go plug and play. Went jumping up and down to the office, plugged and IT NEVER PLAYED!@#%#$@$ There started my super beef. I have never had 2 hours of internet per day. I almost know everyone at customer service by name and I spend at least 2-4 hours on phone daily with Zuku and these are the only options I have ever been given. ï¿½ Give us your account code = 69589 ï¿½ Restart the Router ï¿½ Remove the power cable from the Indoor unit and put it back after 3 minutes? ï¿½ Have you plugged the cable form the IDU in the right place? ï¿½ Ping ï¿½CMDï¿½. Ipconfig /release /renew ï¿½ Restart your computer. Truly itï¿½s a trial x and trial Y affair here. Last week on Thursday I was promised that someone will come and they have never appeared. Today a senior support staff went abit further and I truly lost it when she told me that the ï¿½engineers have refused to comeï¿½. I thought of eating bees. ï¿½ the best they can is tomorrow before lunchï¿½. In the mean time, this is what it has cost me: 1. A LOT OF STRESS 2. Am ever on phone for at least 2 hours since last Tuesday 3. Sooo much lost business and modem costs (I spend in a week what I spend of Zuku in a month) and we have at least 3 modems and we do website design for heaven sake. 4. We look like fools because we can never host a website in time and some guys will never understand that we donï¿½t have internet. 5. ï¿½The most painful this is how the call centre and ï¿½ I will escalate this to a senior engineersï¿½ and ï¿½ we will call back in 10 minutes 9 which will happen after a reminderï¿½ This is a service company and I have prepaid my internet. Surely you can do better. Our company has 8 staff members and none is a sweeper or receptionistï¿½I wonder if anyone around them would ever allow anyone to make the mistake I did. My 3 questions are simple: 1. Can I get an engineer to my site ï¿½I can wait up to end of day for them 2. Can I get my one week back? I want and extension of this week to my paid bill. 3. Can I be promised that I can enjoy my internet as my neigbour who never has issues? What I was shocked about was that my Chinese headphones I bought from jamia mall sounded better that the beats headphones. It uses a CMS I built from scratch early this year. Now consider this: I'd like to use something akin to such an adapter, but I'd like to have a setup where when the number is called, it actually forwards that call to my PBX (which sadly or gladly only does H323). Hi, All I have a query in MsAccess to find duplicates which works fine. the statement is as follows: SELECT First(table1.field1) AS field1Field, Count(table1.field1) AS NumberOfDups FROM table1 INNER JOIN table2 ON table1.field1 = table2.field1 GROUP BY table1.field1 HAVING (((Count(table1.field1))>1)) I want to now use this statement in MySQL, but it has a problem with the syntax (most probable it does not understand the statements first and count) Could you maybe give me an alternative statement?

Keyboard and Mouse not working on gdm3 start

Hi guys, I am having a weird problem here on my laptop. Today I booted up to no working inputs : bila mouse bila keyboard. I have isolated the problem to gdm3 because the keyboard works fine during the bootup process, but dies afterwards when gdm is started. Has anyone ever experienced this ? How did you solve it ? PS : A workaround I employed was to boot in recovery mode and then run "init 3". This got me to a fully working desktop; but it was unwieldly at best.
