Skunks, I am new to Server 2008 R2. One of my users has been accessing a shared drive on the server until yesterday evening when he could not any more. The error message he is getting is "Logon failure, unknown username or bad password". I have tried changing permissions and passwords to no avail. I have gone through Google but seemingly cannot find anything that works. Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem? Hello guys, I live in a place where signal quality is soo bad I only get spotty reception switching between EDGE, UMTS and HSPA. I have an Airtel Modem connected to a TP-Link router that gives me net. In order to know where to mount the router, I need to establish which spots in the house have HSPA, but I cant figure how to check what the modem is receiving. Could anyone help? Is there a way to check while Modem is connected to router? Zuku Connection

Good people, I have a weird issue on my Zuku connection. Each time I am downloading a file, it starts well but stops before it completes. So I need to 'pause' the download and 'resume' for it to finish. Same case to videos, when I'm watching a video on youtube, it starts well but a few seconds into the video it stops and I have to pause and play for it to continue. Hallo Skunks ,the resource center is about to open in Soy near Eldoret .The Cyber has five Computers and we have done our homework .Internet Speeds have been a challage. is it possible to use an antenna ? we have routers for safaricom and Orange, can the server use both of them at the same time in one cyber managment system ? is it possible to use all service providers in one server? we tested signal strength using open signal app and found that all networks were good at differnt times?

Good people, I have a weird issue on my Zuku connection. Each time I am downloading a file, it starts well but stops before it completes. So I need to 'pause' the download and 'resume' for it to finish. Same case to videos, when I'm watching a video on youtube, it starts well but a few seconds into the video it stops and I have to pause and play for it to continue. Is anyone else having the same issue? And what's the solution? It's very irritating! -- ./mouz

Something I've been mulling over for a while: for mobile app developers and users, how would I determine whether a mobile app communicates securely (using SSL for example)? How can I know whether sensitive data (e.g. login credentials) is stored by the app and if so, whether in encrypted form or plain text? Is there a way to prevent unintended transmission of data e.g. accessing contacts when not required? Or am I being paranoid? Ben

Hi guys, I have pgsql 9.3 on Linux Mint, fresh install - both OS and DB. While setting up roles and dbs using the pgAdmin III client, the client crashed - as in it just closed itself. I opened it again but I havent managed to login to the db using postgres user since. I keep getting the error: *Error connecting to the server: FATAL: password authentication failed for user "postgres"* *FATAL: password authentication failed for user "postgres"* a) I have checked pg_hba.conf (which shouldn't even matter since I was able to connect to the db before the crash) Current setting(I have also tried with peer and ident): *# Database administrative login by Unix domain socket* *local all postgres trust* - I have run the* psql -c "ALTER USER postgres WITH PASSWORD 'pass'" *numerous times - I have restarted the db multiple times as well - The roles I had just created can log in perfectly, unfortunately they are 'powerless' What should I do? The DB is literally empty so I dont stand to lose anything by re-installing but I'd prefer that to be the last option Mr. Lawi

However since yesterday when a Dlink Outdoor unit using POE is connected onto the network the Cisco 800 unit (192.168.1.1) becomes unreachable. Thinkpad T420 Windows 7 Install Issue

Hello good people. I am having a difficult time trying to get Win 7 installed on a Lenovo Thinkpad T420. This 1st install worked ok with a Dual Boot arrangement until an ill-advised format on a free partition from windows made everything go haywire. Issue is I did not care to create the recovery disks from the original install. A week of trying online forum remedies has proved fruitless. Have backed up data via Live CD and are attempting a clean install. Regardless of which Win 7 disk I attempt to use, none seems to be able to find the HDD that I can access ok from Linux Live CDs. Any advise is welcome. Regards, Mugo
