Hey Skunks, I’m considering working on a wrapper for the M-PESA 2nd generation platform <http://www.safaricom.co.ke/business/corporate/m-pesa-payments-services/m-pe…> (in my primary programming language) to have closer integration with Safaricom MPesa and also to possibly make it easier for others to integrate (read … abstract all the SOAP stuff). I’m willing to have it open sourced from the word go (even through development). Some people might find it useful. I’ve never dealt with Safaricom technically etc. … and just want to have a light consultation about what exactly I’m getting myself into. I’m not in Kenya but I have my Safaricom line roaming so can access MPesa (not sure that bit is really important but ...). Keeping that in mind, I have some questions: Are there any foreseeable obstacles that I should know about? Is there a development mode where I can build without spending any actual money and just get dummy responses? Is a low level explanation of the transaction process somewhere (not the API spec)? So, After more than 6 years of listening to music on my Creative SBS A300s and Logitec/Sennheiser earphones , I think I'm becoming deaf and therefore no longer in a position to appreciate the bass in the Creatives. I would like to replace them with a hometheatre that offers some great sound reproduction in the 50 Hz range upwards. However, I am surprised that most of what I am seeing here ( http://www.jumia.co.ke/home-theatre/) does not offer bluetooth pairing or even DNLA. I thought stuff in this age should even have a mobile app to control the damn thing? Reloading geonetwork metadata

Hi members, Any one who has an idea how to reload geonetwork 2.x metadata? I recently changed the URL and now all thumbnails are pointing to the old URL and therefore not loading. I cant see anything in the admin interface to indicate that its possible to do so there, and the GAST tool is refusing to run via the terminal (saying "Can't connect to X11 window server using ':0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable "). Hello All Just thought i would highlight my plight.I had heard of this but i never thought it could happen to me. A few days ago i boarded a bus heading back to town from Mombasa road. I had my bag with my laptop inside. Everything was fine until the moment i received a phone call from my boss and we began talking.The conversation continued for quite some time. Little did i know that some two four guys(i assume they were four in total) i was seated at the window and two guys came and sat next to me. i didnt think much of it at the time. As we reached GPO one of them behind me dropped some coins and asked me to pick it up for him.I think that was when they opened the bag and got it.not really sure.On a serious note,i dont know how these guys were that good.. By the time i screamed..they had confronted me and i was down. What really pissed me off is Nairobians can see a lady on a bus being mugged and do nothing about it.They just watch. We are interested in getting citizens from all sectors: government, academia, tech community, civil society, bloggers and journalists who are new to Internet Governance issues. KeSIG is an introductory course covering technical, economic, legal and contemporary social issues brought about by the Internet. The main topics to be covered include: 1. Introduction to Internet Governance 2. Main issues in Internet Governance in Kenya 3. Kenya’s Internet Governance policy /legal framework(s) 4. You should be careful with random customization as that might break your copy of the code . Your copy can quickly go out of sync with the community versioning and block you from successful updating. The other ugly issue with most open source productivity software is the price of "Professional support". Most of the time costs go higher that most closed source.Why should your pay more than $1000 for a software with intentional bugs or certain limitations in features instead of buying a reliable software that works starting from $500?That why I just asked you what you mean by "Low Cost". If you could define your true demands i could give a good solution solution with options of much more reliable customization in case. All necessary sales and purchases docs are there(LPO, GRN, proforma invoice,tax invoice, receipt,deliver order notes, debtors and creditors statements etc ), fiscal ready, Dynamic stock level.
