Laptop from ebay

If i bought a laptop from ebay,apart from shipping costs and the cost of the laptop(of course),what else would i be required to pay? VAT? Any other tax? If any taxes,eg. for a laptop of 600USD,what should be the total budget? Kindly assist.

Has anyone actually tried to withdraw? Radio Network Mapping & Planning

Hey guys/guyettes, Working on my final year university project and would like to know if I am furiously trying to re-invent the wheel. I would like to use aerial photos/satellite images in the planning, mapping, optimizing and construction of radio communication networks. So that using remote sensed data (Aerial photos, satellite pics, LIDAR etc) the ground profile can be accurately modeled and the whole network designed without having to put boots on the ground. This could be applied in WIMAX, 3G, LTE, or even DVB-T2 transmission stations. I am biased towards Aerial Photos/photogrammetry seeing as It requires less tech and achieves good results. I also think (have no actual evidence) it is cheaper of all the stated methods in terms of temporal and spatial resolution. My predicament is I do not know what is currently used. It is perfectly possible that what I have described is precisely what is done. Any techies on the list who work on the network planning side of telcos or independent contractors who can point me in the right direction or give me contacts of someone to talk to? -- Regards, Mark Mwangi markmwangi.me.ke

Which DVB-T2 for me?

As we progress into the Digital TV space, I am wondering which model/unit is the best (featureful) that I can get in the market. The only company I see advertising aggressively is STARTIMES<http://www.startimes.co.ke>which are suggesting I buy their Chingchong DVB-T2. I'd like advise from people who have trodden this path, the early adopters like @DavidKiania, on whicd device they recommend - available in the mkt. IP CAMERAS OVER WLAN

Hi guys, Is anyone on the list knowledgeable in the above stated? The intended scenario is installation of the above devices and have them piggy back on an existing WLAN as opposed to point to point connections by addition of more Wi-Fi devices (eg. Nano Stations). The same can the be routed to an IP capable DVR machine for remote viewing over the web and/or VPN. Also, any suggestions as to the make and model of the cameras in question? Thanks.
