Hi guys. I have a sms provider who allows me to personalize smses for my business but I noticed smses to safaricom prefix (including numbers ported out of safcom) don't get delivered but to other networks go through. Safaricom 3G stability

I've never imagined that Safaricom 3G can these days sustain a connection for so long: Connection Type 3G/UMTS Login Status Connected Connection Uptime 22:01:32 IP Address 41.90.41.40 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.255 Gateway 10.64.64.64 DNS 1 196.201.208.2 DNS 2 209.244.0.3 DNS 3 The above is from my D-Link DIR-825 running dd-wrt, with a Huawei E1820 plugged into the USB port for the 3G connection. Thanks to KPLC not coming into play, I've had a 3G session running for 22hrs!! Experiences with Postal Corporation package delivery

Hi all, Throwing a quick question out about package delivery by Posta. Anybody tried sending or receiving overseas packages with computer equipment via post office? Yeah I know that's a big risk as they're not that trustworthy but is it feasible? Would like to hear your experiences. I'm trying to see if I can avoid the parcel companies.

A question for programmers...

In the build towards the wiki type thing, I've got 2 files as follows: - File A contains the original data that is being updated say every 10 minutes. Therefore this file contains say the monitored statistics from say e.g 8am to 9am. The next automatic updated data will be available at 910am, which contains the data from 810am to 910am. - File B contains the data from File A but has been transformed to capture the entire data over a 24 hours cycle. *Here's the question:* - In File A and B, there's a clash of repetition data as follows. Between each update on File A between 810-910am, File B has to check for only the updated data between 9am-910am as it already has the other data between 8am-9am. The search criteria of course is the date & time field. *How can I use a search criteria into a string for comparison for File B when the data File A is not static and changes every 10 minutes? * So the data in File A example is as follows in realtime: ....contains the data from 0810am <raw_data>29/02/12-0900</raw_data> <raw_data>29/02/12-0901</raw_data> <raw_data>29/02/12-0902</raw_data> <raw_data>29/02/12-0903</raw_data> <raw_data>29/02/12-0904</raw_data> <raw_data>29/02/12-0905</raw_data> <raw_data>29/02/12-0906</raw_data> <raw_data>29/02/12-0907</raw_data> <raw_data>29/02/12-0908</raw_data> <raw_data>29/02/12-0909</raw_data> <raw_data>29/02/12-0910</raw_data> And in File B example is as follows: .....contains the data from 0800am-0900am but needs only the data between 0900-0910am. IMHO, Not that the visions cannot be met because there are probably people working hard towards such but it is unimaginable that the so called Telecommunications sector is hiding behind the cable cut as an excuse not to maintain continuity of services delivery. At this time, I suggest a full CCK investigation into the matter and the revoking of all licenses of the Telecommunication Sector Operators and Others who have failed to maintain the continuity aspect of telecommunications services. Are we saying ALL THREE CABLES have been cut? It is the duty of CCK to ensure that within the license provisions there are clauses that ensure Public Networks maintain continuity. Nation story on Page 24: Kenyans should expect slow internet for the next 3 weeks!!!! Let this be a serious eye opener for all, should we allow this kind of things to go on. As usual corrections are welcome. :-) Rgds.

Testing Airtel 3G - doesn't look good at all

Using my unlocked Huawei E160 and my Airtel SIM Card (sent "start" t 544 to get 50MB for testing), I was able to sample Airtel's 3.75G... The following stats show you just how ugly it is - all local traffic seem to go out first, then back.
