A graphic designer friend has convinced me that 'CRT monitors are better'. He said something about higher resolution, millions of colours, contrast and went on and on with such terms. By the time he was done I wanted one quite badly! I still do .. Thank you Walu and McTim This will be a good opportunity for Kenyan stakeholders, (we are very active in both ICANN and IGF spaces) to input and wish to encourage more comments online as well as during the meeting on Tuesday. Comments are requested along these 6 areas/aspects: ï¿½In light of technology changes and market developments, should the IANA functions continue to be treated as interdependent technical functions? For example, does the coordination of the assignment of technical protocol parameters need to be done by the same entity that administers certain responsibilities as sociated with root zone management? Please provide specific information to support why or why not, taking into account security and stability issues. ï¿½The performance of the IANA functions often relies upon the policies and procedures developed by a variety of entities within the Internet technical community such as the IETF, the RIRs and ccTLD operators. Should the IANA functions contract include references to these entities, the policies they develop and instructions that the contractorfollow the policies? Please provide specific information as to why or why not. If yes, please provide language you believe accurately captures these relationships. ï¿½previously raised by some governments and ccTLD operators and the need to ensure the stability of and security of the DNS, are there changes that could be made to how root zone management requests for ccTLDs are processed? Please provide specific information as to why or why not. If yes, please provide specific suggestions. ï¿½-Broad performance metrics and reporting are currently required under the contract.\7\ Are the current metrics and reporting requirements sufficient? Google protecting American manufacturers from Cheap Honeycomb Tablets

Google has refused to release the source code of Android 3.x , aka Honeycomb. Android been opensource, this is expected. Google gives a very B*tchy excuse in the form that if they release the course, open source developers will port the OS to phones. The OS was done specifically for tablets and made some compromises which will give users a bad user experience on phones, and Google cares so much it doesn't want to cause this. What google doesnt want to say that its is protecting the likes of Motorola , HTC , Samsung from Chinese manufacturers like Huawei and ZTE which will offer the same user experience on tablets at less than half the cost, according to H-Online http://www.h-online.com/open/news/item/Google-says-no-Android-Honeycomb-sou… . Yeah it is! I have done the course and it has helped me out a lot.It however wants somebody who knows what they want because they will just give you the basic introductions and the practical projects are very detailed. You will have to research a lot on your own though. I know the best colleges to do it from are Multimedia University and IAT. Allan Ouma P.O. After more than a year of not using Safaricom 3g, seems there aren't many choices...

Orange 3g+ has become a dialup service, frequently drops out and also looses internet gateways connecitivity. It's become a very poorly managed network. Speedwise, it closely resembles Edge. Over then back to Safcom. It surely has improved quite a lot and the rates are now similar to what Orange offered a while ago i.e 1ksh/Mbyte. Am still to try AFOL services in a few months time so keeping an open mind. Orange and Airtel 3g are still dreams, so Safcom I think now takes the lead over real 3g versus competitive pricing. The only thing I noticed was that Safcom 3g seem to be routing internet connecitivity over satellite, the average is about 610ms. Not run traces as don't have time to. Me thots.
