Hello people, Is there a service provide in KE who can give me an Int'l link with a reliably good quality? I am having a problem with some colleagues in Europe who have said that the line quality of my KDN Link is crap. See attached. I have contacted KDN, via e-mail, about this but they wouldn't respond at all. I have a 512Kbps (burstable to 1024) with them but there is no SLA anyway. Skunkers, A close friend of mine was slapped with the email below from CSI: NY. Guys watch out.. big brother is watching. My question is whether Kenyan copyright laws are being enforced and what is likely to happen in case the guy is taken to court. MOBILE PHONE SCAM - BE ALERT

Hello all, Below please read a story on a real life experience. -- Dear All, this much is true.......... "It all started when I received a call from someone claiming that he was from Safaricom and he asked me to shutdown my phone for 2 hours for 3g update to take place. As I was rushing for a meeting, I did not question and turned off my cell phone. After 45 minutes I felt very suspicious since the caller did not even introduce his name. I quickly turned on my cell phone and I received several calls from my family members and the others were from the number that had called me earlier - 3954380. I called my parents and I was shocked that they sounded very worried asking me whether I am safe. My parents told me that they had received a call from someone claiming that they had me with them and asking for money to let me free. The call seemed so real and my parents were certain they heard 'My voice' crying out loud asking for help. My father was at the bank waiting for further instructions about the money transfer. I told my parents that I am safe and asked them to lodge a police report. Right after that I received another call from the guy asking me to shutdown my cell phone for another 1 hour which I refused to do and hung up. They keep calling my cell phone. I have lodged a complaint with the police and I was informed by the officer that there were many reports of similar scams. MOST of the cases reported that the victim had already transferred the money! And of course it is impossible to get back the money. Be careful as this kind of scam could happen to any of us!!! These guys are so professional and very convincing during calls. If you are asked to shut down your cell phone for updates by the service provider, do not do so! The service providers will hopefully place adverts to that effect in the media... Be Safe and Stay Alert! Please pass around to your family and friends! -- Humphrey

I came across this track : Remember the name by Fort Minor. http://www.ilike.com/artist/Fort+Minor/track/Remember+The+Name .Use good quality headphones to enjoy the various acostics. The track is very different from what the rap world usually put and the sound track, if edited well, can be a good game opening scene, dont know if it already has.. Wonder how the copy rights work, especially for free games. If you know of rap tracks that get those vessels flowing, pls post. :-) Rgds.

Tea time question : A quest to mastering methods in design phase of an application

Its almost that time to take a few minutes break and look at mastering methods. I learnt something from my variable thread the other day, which was to phrase my question correctly. So to start with, am asking you the coder//programmer to imagine that you were put into a situation as a software developer consultant/software design architect. Let us first establish that we all know about methods/functions. What we also know about these are thing like various ways that they get used. The question then goes as follows : You have a project, you know its requirements, know its basic flow and have established all the variables to be used. Now it is time to get these onto paper and work out the actual code flow without even touching any keys. You have a blank paper in front of you, you need to start the process....! The process that you put on eg paper will be used in development process. Programmers on the list : Define the easiest way to derive methods. Hope I've listed the question correctly this time around. :-) Rgds.

RapidSMS Set up

hi All, is there anyone who can assist me (possibly via googlechat, facebook chat. msn) to setup RapidSMS on Fedora with a Huawei Modem. If possible, assistance in iintegrating that with Django will be welcome.
