You can send and recieve money, buy and sell stuff on the net using paypal as long as the site and/or services in use support it. If you selling something on ebay or recieving cash from one fo your relas abroad, so long as they are able to use paypal, it's as easy as abc..... On(line) and Off(line) privacy

With all the worries we have over Facebook, GMail etc etc, sometimes we forget just how much privacy we've lost in the offline/analog world. I don't hear anyone making much noise about this, but sometimes the reminders can be jarring. <https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&view=att&th=1265a5bc5df85f3a&attid=0.1&d…> Recently I received two separate pieces of mail that somehow "just knew" that my partner and I are soon having a baby. It was freaky how precise marketer's targeting is, and how quickly they were able to figure it out. A first visit to the Ob/Gyn and next thing you know a company is sending us baby-food in the mail. A few weeks to the baby's due-date and Disney sends a "reminder" that the new baby will need to be introduced to Mickey-Mouse. When did the loss of offline privacy become so normal? And when will the loss of online privacy also become so ordinary? Where did the dude appear from and how come he was hidden from kenyans all this time? He runs an it company SBA tech which does security systems for mobile cash transfers. an IPO on nasdaq is pending and his company is worth 7B USD( by my poor calculations coz 10% is worth 700m USD) He owns 80% and sleeps 8 hrs a week. How did this guy escape forbes list?

Things to try with your laptop on a plane with WI-FI. 1. Take laptop slowly out of case. 2. Slowly open your laptop 3. Switch laptop on 4. Make sure neighbors are watching.. <This works best on the aisle or middle seat for maximum effect> 5. Go online. 6. Close your eyes and tilt head upwards. 7. Wait and see what your fellow passengers will do. ------------------------------ DISCLAIMER This email if for fun and only fun - if you use this email to do the above. Then they will hand you over to the next airport police...<even if its not your destination, you will lose your transit visa and ticket>.. then... Apache 2 Test Page

Hi Skunks and Skunkettes, I uploaded a site on www.chrisckenya.org. Problem is, some people can access the site & some are greeted by this ugly apache test page. I tried following the instructions on the test page but I cannot find the specified folders on the server. Anyone with a possible solution? -- Regards Martin

iPad

So Steve Jobs has finally unveiled the iPad amidst much fanfare. Much like what many had speculated, but seems to be using a special chip, not Intel. Guess now we may be seeing that chip in other devices like the iPhone and MacBook. I am sure Intel is watching this with much intrest, and it is not unlike Apple to disrupt industries it enters. All in all I think it is a beautiful device, and I am waiting for the pricing details. It will have both WiFi and 3G, but I am not sure it is tied to carriers like the iPhone. And they announced the iBook, an eBook Reader application for the iPad.
