*Wanted*: One team of freelance/ Independent Web Professionals *Deliverable*: Phase one of an Online Health Information Platform (Project Afya) An entrepreneur group is seeking the services of a team of freelance/ independent web professionals that would work together to deliver Phase one of an online health information project. This project will have about four phases and the team would continue to the next phase only if they successfully deliver the preceding phase on time. The team muct consist of a project manager to understand the business aims of the project, ensure timely delivery and detailed documentation of the project, designer who can deliver global quality CSS based designs from scratch (not plagiarised from other sources) and a developer who has indepth understanding of PHP5 as well as the strong ability to integrate open source applications especially those that are google based. The team must be able to incoporate other members as the case may be - especially in the future phases, which are larger scale. Interested? Hey guys, I have been trying to install Visual Studio 2008 Professional on my machine but it keeps failing from time to time. I had installed Visual Studio 2008 Team Sysytem. Internet pricing has something in common with other things around us. I'd like someone to correct what I say here. I read the budget summary for this year and Cameras, TVs are Zero rated. *Has this been passed and gazetted ? * from the summary : " remove the current import duty of 25 percent and VAT of 16 percent on television cameras, digital cameras and video camera recorders. " I've been asking TV and camera vendors about the reductions and none is straight forward about it and I do not want to buy " old expensive stock ". I could not believe yesterday when I went over to a camera shop they were selling a Nikon D40 @ 80,000/- while this camera should be about Ksh 35,000/-. So if you remove the zero-rating, the camera should be costing around 25,000/- to 30,000/-. corrections welcome. :-) -- Sign on my car is " L " plates : c#.net

Since moving to seacom would zuku users advise if its now ok to subscribe to their service. I am a bit jittery about committing equipment costs to a ISP then the service ends up being lousy. Speaking of which is there any form of consumer protection from the CCK against ISPs who promise good speeds but do not deliver but you are bound to a contract and expensive equipment costs ? Kevin

Orange fixed plus speeds

Hi guys, Am using an orange fixed plus connection(huawei desktop and those old telkom wireless RUIMs) and was wondering if anyone else has used it to advise me on the speeds they are getting. Am downloading an ISO and cant get the speeds to go anywhere above 15kB/s. . .at this rate al spend a k on credit n it will take a day or two. . . .
