Toshiba L305 performance?

Hi guyz, am plannin to acquire one of these Toshiba Lxxx series esp. L305 for personal use but with a bit of heavy high end applic. development n simulated server environment. I need ua input on Toshiba performance as concerns the above. Also a little bit on battery life n end user comfortability. Hello, Just thinking, Voyager 1 was launched some time in 1977, so by the time I was born it had done some 1451.04 Million Kms, to date its been traveling at 17Kms every sec! meaning by last month it had done some 16445.29 million Kms, so in all my life its traveled 14994.25 million Kms... and all this time its been calling out to any Aliens out there presumably luganda aliens, since Luganda was one of the languages in the Golden record. But again if aliens got hold of it and returned with it expecting the technology that was on board they would be shocked .... 1977 tech vs 2009 ..... just asking, what would you show them .... and would we show them the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN in Geneva??... For one I would compare for them, hoping they have a sense of hearing, the turn table disks, as they were called, and the DVD as we know it today... the Sony Walkman and the Ipod... Hhhhmmmm ;-), wait I should not believe these things, how can I when am told a star is 10 light years this is like 95,000,000,000,000 Kms away, yet they are some that are more than a 20,000 light years, don't ask for the number, aha meaning the light you see at that moment left its origin more than 20,000 years ago, so if according to the bible/ Koran the earth, and the Universe including light was created like 6000 years ago .... I choose the later less thinking God created some 6000 years ago in 6 days our origin is Adam and Eve .... -- Watson wanjohi kambo

I have just finished watching a feature film on Citizen TV that is mighty scary. Can we reverse the imminent doom of all mankind? Ecommerce infrastructure in Kenya

Hi, I am trying to find out if there is a proper/adequate infrastructure for ecommerce in this country. Are there Kenyan ecommerce sites and if so, how do they handle issues relating to electronic payments such as the mode of payment, security etc. How do the companies running the sites collaborate with the financial institutions to receive payments and how are the clients assured of receipt of their purchased goods? Is there appropriate legislation to handle issues arising from this kind of trade. Incase of a problem, are institutions that the customer or the legal entity can consult to resolve these in Kenya. My biggest problem is electronic payments in this discussion. Putting up shopping carts might be easy, but in this beloved country, what electronic payments are possible. Any insight on this topic will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Duggan Kimani

Looking for an Intern - July 5th to August 15 - Nairobi, Kenya Yesterday at 9:48pm Dear Friends -- The Children of Kibera Foundation is looking for a college intern to work for us on a project for five or six weeks this summer in Nairobi - July 5th to August 14th It is an unpaid internship, although the foundation will provide the intern with a one-time grant of USD 500 (or the equivalent in Kenyan Shillings), and could help with identifying suitable housing with a host family within the community at Olympic Estate or at a hostel within an easy commute of the project site. The intern will work on phase two of our "KiberaOnline Schools" project whereby our foundation provides computer equipment and sets up a computer lab/classroom for schools that educate Kibera's under-served children. This includes responsibility for basic hardware and software management in a lab with about 15 laptop computers, a printer, and scanner, possibly an internet connection and wireless network. The intern will need a strong set of personal and technical skills to be a manager and a teacher, training adult teachers intensively, as well as high school level teenagers, and little children ages 3 to 8 on how to use the computers for a variety of learning and work purposes. Please let me know if you have any students in mind, perhaps one who is coming to Kenya for the fall and could arrive earlier in the summer or one who is there for a summer course and could stay on longer. Lastly, whoever the intern is, they will not be working alone on this project. They will be working with another intern who is a 2009 graduate of Georgetown University that will be there for six weeks, and will get assistance from our projects coordinator Jeff and the teachers of the school where we are putting up this new lab. finally success! I can breathe now.... www.chekelea.com/support and click on LIVE CHAT. pls keep test to a maximum of 10 seconds as I'm the only test operator on it, and if chat queues build up it will route your request to a ticket page. will be online until 530pm. I've to hand over on tue, so will setup staff area test for monday ( to confirm ). FYI : this is not marketing or anything else, just concept tools used to improve on what can be done which I sincerely hope will allow others to improve on service delivery. :-) Rgds.
