So the spammer mailing list group is still going strong. Now they charge rates for advertising though mpesa, which legally is not a registered business. KRA should keep track of online business and revert with tax collections for transactions in virtual world. Does google exist? try and find out..this for me was too funnny an event. Someone please mail me customer care number for google inc...

Hi all Someone kindly tell me how i can trace an anonymous email sent from exchange 2003. I want to find out the source, maybe the ip address of the comp that it was sent from. Mobile thieves using mobile money transfer ...

A thief stole a mobile phone and called the owner's close relatives saying the owner had been involved in a road accident and was in critical condition. The hospital required money before admitting the patient so the thief was asking for 4,000 to be sent by M-PESA to the owner's mobile. The bigger question is, have people discovered loop holes to withdrawing money from mobile transfer solutions like M-PESA without the owner's ID document? I wonder how the thief could have withdrawn the money. O_O

What's the future of Telcos?

Simply put, if Telcos are investing so much on internet then where does that leave their business when software like Skype exists? Skype and software similar to skype are **free** to call anywhere in the world. There are also versions that run on mobile devices so the owner of the device doesn't need to connect to a PC. US and Europe have very cheap call rates on their networks so Skype might not be a big threat. Our local Telcos don't seem to be close to offering such rates. Another beast: If power over IP is 'perfected' then KPLC might just as well venture into internet distribution, and where does that leave the internal networking infrastructure? (internal fibre backbone, wireless base stations, ...) o_O?
