Dear Members,
Prof Gihan Dias is seeking the support of the Kenyan Chapter, If you endorse him just reply Ok then we will communicate accordingly. So far we have not received any other request.
he sounds like an OK candidate to me. On the other hand, I don't know him, but I DO know the other 2 candidates at:
http://www.internetsociety.org/candidates-2012-board-trustees-election
The ISOC BoT's should be made up of experienced ppl. Using that metric I would vote for them in this order:
1. Gihan 2. Rudi 3. Sala
using the metric of "people i interact with regularly, i would order them thusly;
1. Sala 2. Rudi
How are we as a chapter going to decide how we cast our vote? Does the chapter get one vote as a chapter, or do we all get an individual vote in the global election? Since we aren't (yet) a formal chapter, we may not be able to vote in this election!!

However, since the Kenya Chapter has only just been chartered, it is unfortunately not eligible for voting in this round. The voting policies and procedures state that "A Chapter may participate in the election process if they are in good standing as of the preceding December 31." See more details on: http://www.internetsociety.org/who-we-are/board-trustees/policies-and-proced... The Kenya Chapter will however be eligible to vote in the next round. In order to do so, the Chapter should identify their Election Representative (Voting Delegate), who will act as their spokesperson with respect to all election actions. This is one of the Chapter officer roles that can be attributed via the Chapter Portal (AMS) by the Chapter's AMS Administrator. Please don't hesitate to contact us at <chapter-suppor@isoc.org> if you have any further questions.
