Still on Question C of the Application: C. Purpose and Scope of Chapter It is important to indicate how you intend to serve your community of interest and why a Chapter of the Internet Society is a good way to do it. We also need to figure out who we will list as Founding Members (we could list everyone). Paste in the bylaws, and then we are nearly done. Do we want to do a rush job just so we can launch a Chapter in formation at IGF? I would rather a long discussion ensue and consensus result from same about what we want to do as a Chapter. I can do a rush job if ppl feel they want that. Bylaws need to be done right however. Maybe we need a focused 3 or 4 day discussion a la Kictanet??? -- Cheers, McTim "A name indicates what we seek. thank you, Mctim, All, my view; our chapter formation is not in anyway attached with the IGF , it can happen before, during or after...what we should avoid is dragging it for too long. Hi Judy, hi all, I absolutely agree - there's not point in rushing the Chapter application - as the IGF is approaching very quickly indeed. It is important to reach consensus and have everybody involved in this process, which of course might take some time, but would allow you to start on a good basis. As Judy mentions below, it would just be good to make sure that the process keeps moving and doesn't get stalled at some point, but I'm very confident that this will not be the case here, as you are all well on track.
