After serving two terms as Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya ICT Board, Paul Kukubo will be leaving his post come July 2013,marking the end of his second three-year contract. Since taking office in August 2007 as founding CEO, Kukubo has effectively managed the board's functions by promoting and facilitating the development of information and communication technology products and services as well as extending counsel to the government on matters pertaining to the development, coordination and promotion of information and communications technology industries in the country. In the six years, Kukubo's efforts to grow the local ICT market as well as promote Kenya as an ICT investment destination saw Kenya successfully promoted both locally and internationally as an ideal ICT investment destination and he continues to be a great asset to the board and the country. Chapters infuse ISOC with local and regional perspectives on developments and issues that affect the evolution of the Internet. The Chapter relationship is, therefore, very much a “two-way street”: Chapters are effective local and regional agents and are also an important source of the information that informs that mission. By joining a Chapter, you can become more personally involved in the future of the Internet by participating in activities on behalf of your local or issue specific Internet community. Chapters bring a sharper and more personal focus to local and regional issues affecting the Internet. They also create opportunities for those issues to be recognised and included in the discussion of global issues. ISOC has chapters all over the world. Additionally, joining a chapter will allow you to network with peers, attend local events and share new ideas. http://www.internetsociety.org/ --- Pray God Bless. 2013Wangari circa - "Being of the Light, We are Restored Through Faith in Mind, Body and Spirit; We Manifest The Kingdom of God on Earth".
