As part of the pre conference event, we are organizing almost free LPIC level 1 training in four regions, thats Iringa, Arusha, Dar Es Salaam and Zanzibar, so far we have not received confirmation for Zanzibar training. Proposed dates for commencing training are 20th August (Iringa), 27th August (Dar Es Salaam), and 03rd September (Arusha). Announcement for these training will be shared to the community as soon as they are ready and updates will be posted on the ict@innovation portal page. Please stay tuned for updates. SFD conference will take place in Dar Es Salaam on 15th September, we were looking at using Blue Pearl Hotel but due to unavoidable circumstances we will change to new venue and will be notified later. Conference will include paper presentation / discussions, networking, goodies, technical training, FLOSS cultural event, and Freedom Toaster. The event will bring together professionals, students, FOSS organization, training colleges, and public. ict@innovation will be in action through out the pre and the event. This will be an opportunity not to be missed, especially the LPIC level 1 training, and also the Conference presentation and discussions and goodies...! The SFD Conference is free, no windows no gates, invite your friends too, even those glued to windows. Many thanks to FLOSS well wishers in Tanzania, fosstz group, FOSSFA members in Tanzania, Zalongwa Technologies Ltd, Arusha Technical College, Ruaha University College, National Institute Of Transport, ICT4TD, ALUG, GIZ, COSTECH, and mostly to you, who will be attending either the training or conference or both.
