Kenya IGF: Working Group Formation
Dear members, I propose we meet on Thursday 21st March at 5:30pm at the iHub for our first meeting. The meeting is to form the Working Group(WG) which will coordinate the Kenya IGF. Apart from forming the WG, I will dispatch to you an agenda for the Thursday meeting as the proposed WG will need to discuss various aspects and logistics necessary for hosting the meeting. I am glad to hear of this initiative. Here in North America, our ISOC regional bureau manager has just purchased a comprehensive webcast kit, intended for use by the Chapters at various events. This is something that it is hoped can be expanded to all regions. Hi Paul and all, This is great! Unfortunately I shall not be able to join you in person as I may not be in Nairobi at the time but count on my support and let me know of what I can do to assist. Joly, the webcast stuff has been such a great help to us- enhancing remote participation will help even the larger country see that participation in governance does not have to be physical. We shall only be so happy to get gear that makes the experience better. Plus, it is young techies who do all the set up, a plus for our chapter's capacity building. Thanks!
