Fw: [ISOC] Now open: Community Grants Programme

Dear all, As was discussed in our last meeting, the community grants application is open till 30th March 2012. You can apply for it or encourage somebody (or a group) to make their application for this grant. The current, preferred focus areas are: * IPv6. * Local content creation (encouraging demand for and use of the Internet for a specific community). * Encouraging the multi-stakeholder approach to technical and policy issues. * Interconnection and traffic exchange. Paul, can we (as ISOC Kenya or individuals) apply for IPv6 training? I think we can get 25% cost of training covered by some local sponsors. Just my thoughts. Good suggestions, But isn't it necessary for the chapter registration to be complete before registration? We better make sure that happens in time. Nevertheless preparing to submit a proposal in parallel never hurt - depending on the costs/budget/scope for IPv6 training we might be able to request funds from CCK or ICT Board.
