Re: [ISOC_KE] answering one of the ISOC application queries - Next Meeting

Good progress Grace, one you are ready we can have a members meeting next week whose objective would be to ratify the bylaws and finalise on the Chapter application process, can members propose an ideal date and time? On 9/7/11, Grace Mutung'u (Bomu) <nmutungu@gmail.com> wrote:
Hi, An association of people operating in Kenya must be registered. For a society, which we have chosen, the relevant law is The Societies Act, Cap 108 , which can be found online at www.Kenyalaw.org. For the registration, apart from the Society's Constitution and the Society's registered office, we need interim officials and registration fees (Kshs 2,000 I think). I will confirm if we need anything else. Cheers!

This is one of the questions in the application.
Should I write kenyalaw.org as a source? and cite Grace as our Legal expert? other sources? What do we need to form a society in KE? fees? documents?
Some countries, governments, or regulatory bodies have rules or regulations that must be followed by Chapters of organization's like the Internet Society. Examples include documentation or fees. It is important for you to check and to indicate here any requirements you find. If there are none please indicate with whom you checked.

Dear Barrack, I propose Friday 16th of September. The time can be agreed upon by members. I personally would prefer an afternoon meeting.
