EXECUTIVE OFFICER – LINUX PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION OF KENYA
The Linux Professional Association of Kenya (LPA-Kenya) is a business
membership organization whose main objective is to promote the
commercial and professional use of Linux and other Free and Open
Source Software (FOSS). The main aim of the association is to support
its members by providing a credible central point of reference in the
IT industry for FOSS. The LPA seeks to fill the position of Executive
Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To run the LPA secretariat on a day to day basis

To oversee the execution of the LPA Strategic Plan

To develop and enhance LPA's membership recruitment

To carry out fund raising activities for the Association

To organize marketing and training events

To spearhead the Association's Media and Communication Strategy

To maintain a steady engagement with LPA members and partners

Qualifications and Skills

At least a Degree Preferably in Business IT, Information and
Communications, Marketing, or any related fields.

At least 3 year's working experience in Marketing, Communications,
Advocacy or related field.

Experience in Fund raising

Ability to network and build communities

Excellent communication and organization skills

Good Internet and computing skills

Experience in event management

Excellent Management and Interpersonal skills

Self starter, able to work with limited supervision and deliver results
