Yankey" <YANKEYKA@africa-union.org> Dear Colleagues, I am pleased to inform you that the "African Union Convention on Cybersecurity and Personal Data Protection" was adopted today 15 May 2014 at 19:30 at the Headquarters of the African Union Commission by the Conference of African Union Ministers of Justice.which is chaired by Cameroon. Prior to the Conference of Ministers, the meeting of experts from the Justice ministries undertook a thorough review of the Convention on 12 and 13 May. Congratulations to all of you who participated in the regional / sub-regional workshops and expert group meetings from 2008 to 2013. Your contribution and your work are recognized by the African Policymakers starting from the African Ministers of ICT in Khartoum and today the African Ministers of Justice in Addis. You should get ready to embark on preparations for its implementation.
