Dear Listers I hope Liz has secured the venue for the coming Saturday meeting. This is just to reminder all that some very important items will be discussed, so please try and avail yourselves so that the Chapter can start moving forward. Important item on the agenda will be the Adoption of Strategic Plan and application for the open Community Grants. I reckon that only two applications will be accepted from a Chapter, or an affiliated individual. So I suggest we need to bring our heads together as a Chapter, discuss and agree how to approach this initiative. The Strategic Plan is of paramount importance as it will provide us with the foundation and structure to move on. So I would request all leaders of the various Thematic areas to attend, otherwise the meeting may co-opt available members on acting capacity. For your update on Launch Team Task: Spoke with Barrack and most industry players are engaged in regional meetings which would mean they would not be available within this month to facilitate the launch as envisioned.
The next ISOC KE meeting on Saturday may guide on the next steps for the Launch Team to act.
