We cannot rule out hacking however i can tell you for sure attempt have been made to hack into google but never a single succesful hack has been made. 

This to me signals the high security levels deployed by google. I will share with you a google security white paper once i get some time to go through my archives. 

This is the sole reason why multi national companies have email servers hosted by google e.g coca cola
