I agree with Vincent, during our first meeting  the importance of working with our ccTLD was discussed at length, in our next meeting we will explore how we can work together with KeNIC which is a key instituion in the Internet Space in Kenya.

Kind Regards

KENIC can also be approached.

However, I propose that this is discussed further during the face to face meeting.

Dear all,

I think iHub being an incubation centre might help at this - we just need to explore this option although they are keen on mobile computing but it is worth to try.

Vincent,
On Board of Trustees, this is duly noted and provided for in Articles 9 (3) and 10 (1). Please have a look and comment on whether this is reflective of the same.

Is there a suggestion for an organisation that can be approached to host the executive commitee, which shall be running general affairs of the Society....this is especially important at this stage as they may be able to provide the registered office of the Society.

Cheers!

The Board (of Trustees) to provide strategic leadership while the Secretariat implements the strategy (day-to-day running of the Chapter).

At the initial stage, perhaps we can sign an MOU with a volunteer organization to support the Secretariat function, for example by providing office space and what comes with that; and paying an intern to coordinate the ISOC functions until the Chapter is stable. The Board should be made up of volunteers and thus no financial implication.

Regards,

Vincent
