WHO SHOULD ATTEND? This workshop is aimed at Engineers, Managers and anyone else responsible for, or interested in, designing reliable and cost-effective fibre optic networks. WHAT TO EXPECT: Endorsed by BiCSI and the FTTH Council Africa, this workshop will teach delegates the fundamental aspects and components of fiber optic networks. Topics covered include trends in optical communication systems, components of optical communication systems (fibre, EDFA's, DCMs, OAMs etx) and transmission systems (SONET/SDH, OTN, Ethernet, PON etc).
