Dear all,
I thought you might be interested in this set of video highlights from a UN Human Rights Council side-panel on "Internet freedom, security and development", organised on 31 May by Sweden, with support from the Internet Society.
The panel, including speakers from UNESCO, ICANN, ISOC, IT for Change and the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was intended as a follow-up to the Council's "
Internet
Resolution" 20/8 adopted in August 2012, which re-emphasized that fundamental rights in the offline world are just as valid in the online environment.
If you are interested, here is also a
blog post with some context and takeaways from the session.
Best regards,
Nicolas Seidler
Policy Advisor
