Subject: [Internet Policy] Video: Human Rights Council panel on Internet freedom
To: "internetpolicy@elists.isoc.org" <internetpolicy@elists.isoc.org>

Dear all,

I thought you might be interested in this set of video highlights from a UN Human Rights Council side-panel on "Internet freedom, security and development", organised on 31 May by Sweden, with support from the Internet Society.

Session highlights: http://youtu.be/KduvqZJM-0Q

The panel, including speakers from UNESCO, ICANN, ISOC, IT for Change and the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was intended as a follow-up to the Council's "Internet Resolution" 20/8 adopted in August 2012, which re-emphasized that fundamental rights in the offline world are just as valid in the online environment.

If you are interested, here is also a blog post with some context and takeaways from the session.

Best regards,

Nicolas Seidler
