I would expect given how much our government touts Kenya as a "tech hub" they would take a leadership role in ensuring that we support proposals that are not harmful to our countries / regions. Perhaps the CCK / PS Ndemo reps on the list can articulate more the basis for our positions in Accra. It was interesting to see countries like Uganda, Botswana and Zimbabwe argue in support of more progressive positions, while we tended to be on the side of governments with a clear interest in regulating / controlling the Internet. By the way, post-Accra, Africa is the only region to have fully endorsed the ETNO proposals - another issue of concern...do our governments understand what they are endorsing?
