Laptops Initiative
The Internet Society Community (ISOC) is committed to the development of education through the promotion of online education. This is ISOC Kenya Chapter proposition in support to the proposed nation-wide Primary School Laptops initiative.
Aware of the numerous benefits and opportunities arising from online education, the Internet Society Kenya Chapter (ISOC KE) is consolidating views to which all ISOC KE members are invited to make contributions and other global chapters members.
In addition to building up on ISOC KE strategy, ISOC KE will make proposals at various upcoming forums on the laptops initiative and other related internal and external forums including the 2013 ISOC Kenya Internet Governance Forum.

Your proposals are open to be aligned to any area you deem and see fit; technology, health, energy, water,
pornography, "adult literature", safety, governance, satellite, culture, economy, early childhood, play, teachers, roads, Vision 2030, case scenarios, the air, hardware, population...
Feel free to share your views actively with ISOCers online, at other ISOC KE monthly meetings and project meet-ups.
In addition, schedule to represent (in person or virtually-yet to be announced) at the upcoming Stakeholder Forum actively promoted by the ISOC KE Chair - Barrack and colleagues to discuss the Laptop Initiative on July, 04, 2013 @ 0900h - 1700h @ Strathmore University Auditorium.
