Kenya Chapter Rejuvenation

This is an update on the the dispute phase of this election cycle.

As we'd informed the membership on 24th September 2016, the disputes receipt period started on 24th September 2016 and ended on 1st October 2016 at 11.59 pm - seven days period.  As a Committee, we were required to handle all disputes, if any, within fourteen days. This is as per the requirements of the new Chapter bylaws.

We would like to inform the membership that by the closure of this period (disputes receipt period), that is by 1st October 2016 at 11.59 pm (GMT+3), we'd NOT received ANY complaint in regard to this particular election. And hence none to be handled.

In view of this, as the Elections Committee, we wish to confirm to the membership that the duly elected officials of the Chapter from 24th September 2016 for the next two years (up to 25th September 2018) are as follows:

We wish to take this opportunity to thank the membership for participating in this election, the incoming officials, the candidates who did not make it and everybody else, who in one way or another contributed to make this exercise a success. We appreciate each and every contribution.

We wish the incoming leadership the very best in their endeavour to make the Chapter great. And we believe that our Chapter will scale the heights in Internet matters in Kenya and beyond. We have, as a Chapter, the capacity, the resources and wherewithal to make the change we want. We can, together, soar to the skies - and set the benchmark on the standards in Internet matters, in Africa and beyond.

From here, we hand over all the communication to the new incoming Executive Council. 

We will hand over our report during the to-be announced General Assembly.
