We are currently preparing to submit our formal application to ISOC, we have spent the last 8 months building consensus and bringing on board different stakeholders, we have been meeting on a monthly basis from October 2011, we meet every third Saturday of the Month at viewpark towers 10th Floor at QNET. Charles Oloo one of our members will be attending the 20th Anniversary Celebrations and we do hope to make significant steps when he visits Geneva with regard to the formal chapter registration , Charles Oloo was also mandated to go to the registrar of Societies and sort out matters for registering ISOC_Ke locally. If you check the archives you will find bylaws that have been on the discussion list for last five months, we also have them on a Wiki. Meanwhile we decided that we will move forwad with various activities such as awareness building for IPV6 our focus this year and advocacy issues even as we handle the registration issues. Our Motto is building the future together.

We are yet to form any trust, different models of managing the chapter were being floated to ensure that we tap into the knowledge and expertise of the internet professionals we have locally. We acknowledge that some of them are quite busy but can still contribute at various levels whether as trustees , your ideas are welcome on this subject.
> 3) Has the application to ISOC been completed?
We will finalize the application process in the course of this month. To this end we appreciate the wisdom and guidance of McTim, we formed various working groups to handle the different aspects of the registration process. Judy Okite is responsible for registration, McTim is responsible for the Formal chapter Application process, Grace Bomu is responsible for the Legal Affairs, Seth Orlale is responsible for Social Media outreach, we have other colleagues like Davis Onsakia assisting in awareness and outreach Charles Oloo, Administering the Website, Liz Orembo, providing Secretarial support. We also have Paul Muchene responsible for our training programs whereas Paul Musee and Marsema Tariku assist with remote participation.
