Hello ladies and gentlemen, My name is Seth Orlale and I'm probably the newest member of ISOC_KE. I am a Telecommunications Technician at Multimedia University College of Kenya. I joined yesterday during the informal meeting held at Java, Sarit Centre. During the meeting, I offered to create our Facebook Page that we will use as one of the tools to reach out to the masses. Hey netizens, I like the diversity of membership from Kajiado to Siaya, to Busia, where are people from the Coast and other Parts of the country? Thanks Peter, Indeed it was a wonderfull meeting getting to know ISOC_ke members i was amazed at the diversity in skill sets, thanks all for showing up and above all for the wonderfull session we had, i join Peter in thanking Anne Gatende from QNET for offering a 200 seater venue for ISOCs meetings at View Park Towers, as Peter says you joined the meeting at the right time and made our day, Charles thanks for taking the notes, Tom , Nancy, Misiko, your contributions were full of wisdom, our next meeting will be on 19th November 2011 at View Park Towers, Hosted by Q-Net who from now hence forth will be hosting our monthly meetings every third Saturday of the month. Apologies for those who came and missed the team, our table was not labled hence the confusion. Hi All, I Was there...I was 1hr late but am glad I met Barrack(discovered I know him), Mark(discovered he facilitated a workshop I attended),Tom,Charles,Seth(discovered I saw him in 2004 at my workplace),Nancy and Ann. Am glad I went. I think charles will post the details on the mailing list on Monday...on personal scale I liked the way Barrack handled the meeting---it was more informal than what am used to. Hello Barack, All, Hope that this finds you well. reading an earlier email, there was a bit of difficulty in Sarit, maybe I read wrong! to my point; 1, we have issues that need to be ironed out, can we list them here, so that we are all on the same page? 2. if they cannot be sorted online, I really hope that, they can be sorted offline, if this is the case, then I would rather we do not mix it with a get together/ knowing each other. this meeting will determine, our registration process and we dont want people thinking, 'so how much is that ,coffee?',(on a light note) why dont we look for a 'business' , friendly venue? , if you ask me any Java joint ,is not a business friendly area , the arrangement, is typically social. My proposal, if we can get a business friendly(ihub) venue, for the 22nd meeting, then for a social/get to know each other, we do Nyam chom@olepolosor fish @Kosewe?
