Dear Charles No one has created any hurdles and barriers, I drafted the call for nominations from the YMCA members meeting and the bylaws, theres nothing Ive created outside of those two documents. I remember forwarding the draft to the rest of the officials(you included) for perusal and feedback and you gave a go ahead, I dont understand why you know nothing on the arrangement of the AGM. Having been in the YMCA meeting, I recall that the six months membership requirement was agreed upon because the office bearers ought to have a good understanding of ISOC mission and values to be able to lead the society. I dont think a member who joined a month ago will be able to do so (The issue is still open for discussion) I agree with you that we should have a meeting to discuss on the modalities of the elections, but since we dont get substantial attendance during meetings, I suggest that we do a one week structured online discussions with the members on the mailing list so that everyone gets an opportunity to participate, then we sum it up with a members meeting, either physical or via webex. Indeed we should have clear structures after the AGM, for this I table the issue of board of trustees on this mailing list for discussions. Please feel free to contribute. If anyone wishes to join me in the elections committee, please feel free to send me a mail on or off this list. My 2 cents for now.
